The Agony of Defeat, but the Thrill of Victory!

OK...so last night, I got one email back already regarding a submission of one of my poems to an online literary magazine.  The agony of defeat...they thanked me for the poem but said they were going to pass...as the pain of the rejection set in, I had ANOTHER email telling me that I won 2nd place in one of the poetry contests I entered!!  Second place out of 22 entries.  Soooo close, but still a victory, considering it was my first time entering any of my work.  I'll take it :)
